Did you ever notice how flowers turn their beautiful faces toward the sun? As the sun moves its position during the day, the flowers naturally move to get the most light. We must keep our faces turned toward God’s Son who is the source of life and all blessings. Jesus said, “My Light will shine out for you… walk in it while you can… If you walk in the darkness, you cannot see where you are going”. (John 12:35) In our busy days we can easily get distracted with the things of this world and forget that they are temporal and will fade away. Sometimes those days turn into years and we lose sight of the Son who wants us to follow Him and place Him in the center of our lives. We can find ourselves far from our first love, Jesus. It may happen by degrees, so we do not even recognize just how far away we have gone. If you have turned away, you can decide to turn your face toward the Son and walk in the Light. There is hope for those who return to the Lord for He offers forgiveness and teaches us to reverence and obey Him. “Lord, if you kept a record of sins, who, Lord, could survive? But you offer forgiveness that we might learn to fear You.” (Psalm 30:3-4) God wants His children to enjoy the fullness of His love. He is waiting for you with open arms. Whoever repents of their sins and turns their face to the Lord will walk in the Light of life.
