Looking back on our troubles and difficult times, we can acknowledge that God was in the valley with us. The journey is sometimes long and hard, but in the end we experience victory in the valley. A valley collects rain and produces a good harvest. It’s where our perspective must line up with God’s truth. If our focus becomes our problem instead of God’s covenant promises, discouragement and despair will set in. We must walk through the valley with faith and perseverance. That takes discipline and courage. The Lord makes us strong; therefore, we can rest in Him. God turns the adversities into blessings. “Passing through the Valley of Weeping, they make it a place of refreshing springs, even the early rain will cover it with blessings.” Psalm 84:6 God brings refreshment and comfort to the weary. Looking back at the valley, we realize that God’s grace sustained us. He is a mighty fortress, a formidable defense from our enemies. Praise the Lord during difficult seasons, and trust Him completely. Meditate on Psalm 84 and thank the Lord of hosts for His protection. He has unlimited power and gives victory to those who are trusting Him.
