We all have faith in something or someone. What we believe is most important in life is at the core of all that we think, say, and do. Jesus declared Himself to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He urged people to believe in Him. Christ even told His followers to take up their cross just as He did. Suffering and persecution will come. The Roman soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross. How did Jesus endure this terrible suffering? It was through the power of agreement with God’s will and the power of prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus emptied Himself and accepted God’s will, even death by crucifixion. Believers who follow Jesus’ example of obedience to God’s will have great blessings. Those who come together in the powerful prayer of agreement will see God’s hand move on their behalf. Seek the Lord in private prayer and have a prayer partner or a few close friends to pray with as well. There is great power in the prayers of agreement. Jesus asked the disciples to earnestly pray with Him before He was arrested. When two or more believers gather and pray in the mighty Name of Jesus, He is there with them. The Name of Jesus breaks chains that bind people, destroys strongholds, and brings miracles to pass. His rule and reign reach far beyond the natural realm. Learn to use prayer as a forceful and effective weapon against the enemy, the devil. The church will rise up and stand together in faith, in prayer, and in God’s covenant promises.
After Jesus sent the Holy Spirit and power, His followers received the precious gifts of the Spirit and worked many miracles among the people. But the devil was out to destroy those who were closest to Jesus. Peter was arrested and beaten, and the Romans planned to kill him. However, the saints met together and prayed in agreement for his release. They prayed that God would spare Peter’s life so he could preach the Good News and heal the sick. Jesus had anointed Peter to build the church. So, the saints persisted and interceded in the prayer of agreement. They asked God for a miraculous way of escape. God will speak to us today when we earnestly seek Him in prayer; He will guide us to victory. You will hear a voice saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it when you turn to the right hand and to the left.’ Isaiah 30:21. The Lord God Almighty is mighty to save.
God sent an angel to open the prison door, and Peter ran past the guards. The locked city gate swung open, and Peter ran to the house where the disciples were praying. They were all amazed. Everyone saw Peter alive and well and rejoiced in God’s mighty power to save! When God is with us, we have the victory no matter how bad it looks in the natural. God works mightily in the spiritual realm. Our prayers of faith move the hand of God. There is power in the prayer of agreement. Jesus gave us His Name and commissioned believers to take authority over the enemy as we advance the kingdom of God on earth. We are called to courageously take back what the devil stole. No weapon formed against you will prosper… Isaiah 54:17 Victory is ours in Christ our Lord as we persist in powerful prayers of agreement. Christ is our glorious Champion!
