Success

There are many methods and steps for success to be found in the media.  People follow authors, celebrities, and the latest guru of success.  God laid out a plan in His Word for His people to be successful in life.  The scriptures teach us how to experience God’s rich covenant blessings.  Here are a few important principles He’s given us to have a full and satisfying life.

  • Deuteronomy 8:3  “People need more than bread for their life, real life comes by feeding on every Word of the Lord.”  Be nourished with daily bread from heaven that keeps you strong in spirit.  It’s wonder bread.
  • Leviticus 26:12-13 “I (the Lord) will walk among you, I will be your God, and you will be My people.  I lifted the yoke of slavery off your neck so you can walk free with your heads held high.”  Keep God first in all you do be thankful that He freed you from sin and death.
  • Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in people.”  Some trust in their higher education, self-efforts, money, fame, etc.  But a person with spiritual understanding knows that the Lord has a purpose and plan for each of us and allows the Lord to lead and guide them.
  • Proverbs 17:27 “A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered.”  Enough said.
  • Malachi 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… if you do, says the Lord Almighty, I will open the windows of heaven for you.  I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in.”  Worship the Lord by giving your money, the tithe, to Him.  Abraham tithed before the Law was given to Moses as an act of worship and honor to God.
  • Lamentations 3:22-23 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.  His mercies never end.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”  Recognize and receive God’s mercy toward you.  He knows you have weaknesses.  Forgive yourself and others.
  • Luke 10:27 “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.  And love your neighbor as yourself.”  God’s love is powerful and is essential in the life of a believer.
  • Revelation 19:6 “Hallelujah!  For the Lord God Almighty reigns.  Let’s be glad and rejoice and honor Him.  For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb and His bride has prepared herself.”  Be ready for Jesus’ return.  He’s coming for the church, His bride, to usher her into eternity in God’s kingdom where she will receive her amazing inheritance.  The troubles of this world will not last, but God’s kingdom, power, and glory are eternal.
