Have you ever wondered about the greatness of God who looks down from heaven on the earth and sees all of His wonderful creation? The Lord’s thoughts and ways are high above anything we can imagine. And His love for us is greater than we can comprehend. The Lord grants peace to all who reverence and obey Him. The beginning of wisdom is to fear the Lord. It grieves His heart when people live in sin and worship the idols of this world. God knows we are made of dust and are prone to temptation. The devil prowls around like a hungry lion after its prey. The beast waits for a moment of weakness to attack its victim. However, God offers divine protection; those who abide in Him are safe in the secret place. We live under the protection of the Almighty according to Psalm 91:1 God’s unfailing love is shown to those who reverence Him. The Son of God came to earth and defeated the devil once and for all. Jesus conquered death. He declared, I AM the Resurrection and the Life! John 11:25 and No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6. To all who believe in Christ, the Living Word who has no beginning or end, He offers eternal life and perfect peace with God. Sin tore at us, but Jesus shed His blood to reconcile us to the Father. Isaiah 53 describes Jesus’ crucifixion as He took the awful punishment for our sins. The wrath of God was laid on the Son of Man. This proves the love of the Holy One who died for us. When we humble ourselves and come to Jesus to receive forgiveness for our sins, He takes them away and covers us with a glorious robe of His perfect righteousness. Through His shed blood, we are reconciled to God Almighty. Give thanks to the Lord for His wonderful mercy and love.
God placed a divine purpose and breathed new life into every believer through the Holy Spirit. He established the church in righteousness and peace. And He called the saints to be a praise on earth, united in the love of Christ, to show forth His glory and power. The Lord God is our Sun and Shield. He gives us grace and glory. Psalm 84:11-12 God smiles on us! Unfailing love and truth have come together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Psalm 85:10 How great are God’s blessings and benefits He has given to those who are in covenant with Him. Learn to take hold of His peace when the challenges of life try to weigh you down. Stand on Jesus’ righteousness when guilt and shame attempt to overtake your thoughts. Let God’s promises be integrated into your very soul and give you a firm foundation to stand on. Troubles and storms will come, but those who put their confidence in the Lord will withstand every storm. The Apostle Paul was attacked by the devil as he preached the Gospel, healed the sick, and cast out demons. Yet he wrote, No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able … but will provide the way of escape… 1 Corinthians 10:13 Lean on the Lord and meditate on the Word. Cry out to Him in times of trouble and know that He will rescue you. Let the Lord’s perfect peace safeguard your thoughts and actions as you put your trust in Him. When we encounter troubles in this world, we can choose to draw closer to the Lord than ever before. The Father’s arms are open wide, and His love never fails us. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Jesus came to free us from our sins and satisfy our deepest need. He fills the hungry soul with peace. Nothing is able to quench His unfailing love.
