We are greatly blessed and deeply loved by our Father in heaven. What a privilege it is to call God our Father! He sent His Son to redeem us from sin and death. All who believe in Him are adopted into an amazing, loving family. God loves us so much that He provided a way to bring reconciliation in our families. When we have broken relationships, He instructs us to walk in love and pursue peace. The Holy Spirit helps us to love and forgive others. Jesus can heal wounded hearts. He plants seeds of love in our hearts and waters them so they will produce fruit. He sends special people into our lives to work as healing agents. Jesus offers us divine grace and invites us to find rest in Him when we are agitated or weary. Reconciliation is a process where love and forgiveness work together to break down walls of offense. As we pray for our family members, we can trust God to work in our hearts and their lives. He wants our entire household to be saved. (Acts 16:33). Instead of replaying old hurts, we can forgive those who hurt us. Revisiting old offenses and telling others over and over how hurt we feel does not help. When a scab is constantly picked at, it will not heal. Instead, it is painful, irritated, and leaves a nasty scar. Make a quality decision to leave past hurts behind and be an agent for reconciliation. God will help you do this. We are called to live in peace with our families even though it can be very difficult at times. If someone chooses not to forgive us, we can still forgive them and pray for them. Precious families are being attacked by the devil’s schemes and lies. He wants us to criticize our brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers. He tries to plant seeds of hate and revenge in our minds. Don’t listen to these lies. Diligently seek the Lord and follow the path of love. Avoid those traps the enemy sets and let go of bitterness and blame. All those who fear the Lord and delight in His commands will experience His wonderful blessings and their children will be mighty on the earth. (Psalm 112:1-3) God will show you how to let go of strife and anger and experience Jesus’ perfect peace. Many praying parents have testified that Jesus did amazing miracles and brought their wayward sons and daughters back to their faith in Christ. And God has restored countless marriages when it seemed impossible. If your family needs healing and reconciliation, remember that God is on your side. Recognize that He is working in ways you cannot see and keep on praying for your family. God wants to restore our families so we can enjoy each other and be a blessing to others.
