We attended the National School Project’s Spring Banquet and heard very positive news about the rallies they’ve held in middle schools and high schools in Chicago, L.A., O.C., and Tucson. In Chicago’s north suburbs, NSP’s staff and volunteers came together with various local church leaders in the area and planned an outreach hosted by six high schools. Bible clubs at schools joined the team, and everyone prayed for many students to hear the Gospel and open their hearts to God. This March, the five-day Chicago public school rally was a huge success with 472 students attending, 74 students accepting Christ and 24 students rededicating their lives to Christ! This is so meaningful in these schools and communities where students are becoming bold in their faith. Middle and high school students face many challenges including easy access to drugs and alcohol. Some students struggle in school because of difficult circumstances at home. NSP offers them hope through positive encouragement as speakers share their personal life-changing experiences when they opened their hearts to God’s love. The results of NSP’s student rallies are far reaching. Students have an opportunity to receive prayer, join a school Bible club, and meet pastors from local churches. WFR has been supporting NSP’s outreaches (formerly CSP, California School Project) for years. God is blessing NSP’s teams of dedicated staff and college, middle, and high school student volunteers as well as local pastors, and their outreach is expanding to Texas and other states. Their vision to share God’s love with middle and high school students is changing lives. We are letting this generation know that they have a Father in heaven who loves them unconditionally and will always be there for them.
