A picture is worth a thousand words, and action is the proof of intent. As Christians we have been given a mission set forth in the Word to reach the world with the Good News. This requires sharing our life on a daily basis with those around us. The joyous mission of caring for others and really seeing them in their need opens up a world of opportunity to proclaim God’s faithfulness and love. The possibilities are diverse and sometimes perplexing, yet God always puts people in our path whose lives we can touch for good. The question is, are we looking for opportunities and noticing someone in a crowded place? Do we take the time, even when we are in a hurry, to speak a word of encouragement or to offer help to someone in a chance encounter? As we become aware of these impromptu opportunities to joyously share our lives with others, the fullness of God’s favor is working on our behalf. One hug, several timely words, a simple prayer – these things can make a lasting difference when we make a connection with our fellow man whether it is someone we know or a complete stranger who we may never meet again. Be willing to share your life with others and see what God will do. This lifestyle will also bring you great joy.
