In the depth of our souls, everyone desires to be loved and accepted. God, our Father, created us to be love-receptors, and His love is unfailing, limitless, and unconditional. God is LOVE. A father’s love and affection are necessary for a child’s well-being and security. I want to share a story of one man’s life-changing experience while he was in jail. When Julio became a Christian, he made a commitment to apply himself to learn the Word through Narrow Way Ministries. Julio completed four books of the Bible doing NW Bible study lessons by mail. Then he made a bold decision to start a men’s prayer group with other inmates. It started as a small group and grew to fifteen men praying together for each other. Julio has a good attitude and encourages others to read the Bible. He is a changed man, and we were very encouraged to hear Julio tell us how God has given him a new beginning and purpose for his life. This is an amazing God-story! When we hear how our efforts bring results in ways we couldn’t have imagined, it gives us great joy.
Seeds of hope are planted in our hearts when we hear words of endearment and blessing. Unfortunately, many people have not had a good relationship with their fathers, especially those who are incarcerated. Jail ministry services provide a platform for inmates to hear the Gospel. The Narrow Way ministry provides correspondence Bible study lessons for inmates. WFR supports these vital outreaches that give men and women an opportunity to hear about the love and forgiveness Jesus offers them.
