Free Will is God-given

God defeated the devil when He raised up Christ from the dead.  Jesus died to save all men from death, sin, and hell and open the way to eternal life.  But we must believe in Jesus Christ.  It is our choice to accept or reject Him and that will determine our eternal destiny of life or death.  Psalm 68:29 says, “Our God is a God who saves!  The sovereign Lord rescues us from death.”  What wonderful news!  Happy and blessed are all those who find wisdom and gain understanding, for God rescues those who are faithful to Him.  Loyal followers of Jesus stay on paths of righteousness and aim to live for Christ by surrendering their will to His daily.  Christians “take up their cross and follow Him”, as Jesus said they must do.  They know their lives are bought with a price which is Jesus’ shed blood.  The Apostle Paul teaches us that by faith a righteous man chooses to truly live and have eternal life.  Their spirit is made alive in unity with God’s Holy Spirit.  Their righteousness is from Jesus Christ.  But God shows His anger against all sinful people who push away the truth.  From the beginning all creation shows God’s sovereign power and divine nature in the skies, the earth, and the seas.  Can a man stop the force of the ocean tides?  or change the time the sun rises and sets?  Yet people foolishly refuse to worship the Creator and turn to idolatry.  God’s amazing love is evident all around us.  Daily we can look at our world and nature and see His invisible power and divinity which causes us to turn with humble hearts and worship Him, the Most High God.  Those who choose to reject God and Jesus Christ, His Son, and live for themselves will experience God’s wrath.  Romans 1:18-23 and 2:7  Free will is God-given.  Share your faith with your family and friends who are living for themselves and not for Jesus, and pray for their salvation.  God is merciful and full of grace; He will accept all those who repent of their sins and surrender their lives completely to Jesus Christ.
