Faith to Move Mountains

Many times we experience obstacles in our lives that hinder us from reaching our goals and keep us from obtaining the promises of God.  The test of our spiritual maturity comes when we respond to these challenges.  Do we put in some effort to remove the obstacle and then give up?  Or do we persist in prayer and expect God to move on our behalf?  Faith moves mountains.  In fact, without faith we cannot please God who has given each of us a measure of faith.  He knew we would need it.  Jesus faced many obstacles in His ministry; however, He did not give up even once.  Jesus encouraged His followers to be mountain-movers.  Mark 11:23 says, “I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and it will happen.  But you must really believe it will happen and not doubt in your heart.  Jesus rebuked the disciples, who were eye witnesses to His miracles, when they were still in unbelief.  Christ raised the dead and healed the lame, the sick, and the blind.  He cast out demons.  By their unwavering faith, the saints received supernatural miracles as spoken of in Hebrews, chapter 11.  Jesus expects us to do the same and bring glory to God.  He gave us the faith to move mountains.  We are overcomers, and our trust is in His Name and His Word.
