Jesus taught us how to pray to the Father who is in heaven. The Father is holy and glorious in every aspect. His love is unlimited and more powerful than anyone can imagine. And although we are sinners, He calls us His beloved creation. And He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so we could be reconciled to Him. Those who are in Christ have eternal life in the Father’s magnificent kingdom where love, joy, and peace reign supreme. His Name is above all names, and His throne is high above all earthly rulers.
God created us in His likeness. He ordained that men and women should get married and have children. Our dear heavenly Father is in the center of each family unit. Christ-centered families are extremely important to God. Fathers who actively train their children in the Lord are blessed. God rewards men who love their wives and raise their children to know Jesus as their Savior. The Lord designed fathers to find strength in Him and be a leader in their homes. They’re not perfect by any means, but they are influential. The head of the church is Jesus Christ, and the head of the family is the father. Pray for men to be strong in the Lord, to draw close to God in a personal relationship, and to seek the Father’s heart in all they do. The Lord is like a father to His children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him. Psalm 103:13
With the current high divorce rate and substantial number of unwed mothers, too many little boys and girls don’t know their fathers or don’t spend enough time with them. Children need to understand that they have a loving Father God who is always with them. The God of all creation is our Abba, which means Daddy. He watches over each little one with tenderness and compassion. Pray for the Lord to heal the brokenhearted and bring Christian mentors into these children’s lives. Many young adults who are searching for love in the wrong places do not have a loving father. A significant percentage of men and women who are in prison had no father growing up or had an abusive father. Pray for them to know God the Father and to receive His grace and love.
Children are truly a gift from God, a remarkable treasure. In the Old Testament we read about Hannah who could not conceive. She prayed fervently to have a child and promised to dedicate him to the Lord for service. God heard her desperate plea, and she had Samuel who became a great prophet and leader for Israel.
The time families commit to being with each other every day improves their communication, relationships, and character. Families who read the Word together and pray together at home will grow spiritually together and reap great blessings.
Our Father is the source of comfort, joy, and hope. God’s mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness. Lamentations 3:23 Whatever we need, He wants us to come to Him in prayer because He longs to have an intimate relationship with His beloved children. All glory, honor, and praise belong to our Father in heaven.
